Classes at the Cumberland Arts Society

From late 2006 til June 2007, I taught the Acrylic Underpainting, Oil Overlay class at Cumberland Arts Society, in Cookeville, TN. The class was for artists who wanted to learn an alternate method of oil painting, in which a finished product could be achieved in just a couple sittings.
Below are photos from a session in which one student was finishing his rendition of a New York piece I was teaching. In this particular class, the assignment was to work with authentic photographs of city-scapes.

Above is a photo of my demonstration piece. There are differences in color and approach, when you compare my paintings with those of my students. I encourage individuality. My method of teaching involves guided instruction, not follow-the-leader step-by-steps.
