Below are selected works from my K-4 students at Whitsitt, Glenn, and Stratton Elementary Schools. The first selection is from a large sculpture project we did at Glenn to help us learn how to build our own Parthenon model out of cardboard and paper. The second group is a color sheet lesson designed to teach pattern and proper color wheel usage. The third is from a positive-negative space lesson based on verbal directional cues, given by the teacher, and followed by the students. The fourth is from a symmetrical balance/positive space lesson featuring a simple snowflake construction technique. The fifth section is a verbal cue lesson based on contour line drawings.
